Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Powder Pups. By booking our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.

We’re passionate about keeping your dog happy, healthy, and well exercised in the beautiful Snowy Mountains environment—while ensuring their safety always comes first.

2. Services

We offer reliable, caring pet services including:

  • Private dog walks

  • Small group walks

  • Puppy visits

  • In-home visits (feeding, check-ins, companionship)

Each service is tailored to suit your dog’s needs, energy level, and personality.

3. Bookings & Payments

  • Bookings must be made in advance.

  • Payment is required prior to or at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

  • Regular ongoing bookings are welcome and can be scheduled in advance.

4. Cancellations

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.

  • Late cancellations may incur a fee.

  • No-shows are non-refundable.

5. Client Responsibilities

To keep everyone safe and happy, you agree that:

  • Your dog is registered and microchipped in line with NSW Government requirements

  • Your dog is vaccinated and in good health

  • You disclose any behavioural traits (e.g. reactivity, anxiety, aggression)

  • You provide clear instructions and safe access to your property

Honesty helps us provide the best possible care.

6. Dog Behaviour & Safety

  • Dogs must be safe to handle and not pose a risk to people or other animals

  • We reserve the right to refuse or stop services if safety is a concern

  • Walk locations are chosen with your dog’s safety in mind

7. Off-Leash & Group Walks

  • Off-leash walks only occur with your consent and where legally permitted

  • Group walks are matched carefully based on temperament and size

  • While all care is taken, dogs are animals and unpredictable situations can occur

8. Veterinary Care

If your dog becomes unwell or injured during our care:

  • We will attempt to contact you immediately

  • If you cannot be reached, we will contact your nominated veterinarian or the nearest available clinic

  • You authorise us to seek treatment if required

  • All veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility

9. Emergency Contact

You must provide at least one emergency contact who:

  • Is authorised to make decisions about your dog

  • Can be contacted if you are unavailable

In an emergency, we may rely on this person to ensure your dog receives prompt care and support.

10. Key Handling & Property Access

Your home’s security is extremely important to us:

  • All keys, lock codes, and access details are kept secure and confidential

  • Keys will be labelled without identifying personal information

  • We take all reasonable care, but are not liable for loss or damage due to faulty locks or security systems

  • If a key is lost or security is compromised due to our negligence, we will cover reasonable replacement costs (e.g. key cutting or locksmith)

By providing access, you authorise us to enter your property for the purpose of delivering agreed services.

11. Weather Conditions

Living and working in the Snowy Mountains means weather can change quickly:

  • Walks may be shortened, rescheduled, or modified in extreme heat, cold, snow, or storms

  • Your dog’s wellbeing always comes first

12. Liability

We take every precaution to ensure your dog’s safety. However:

  • Dog walking carries inherent risks

  • We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage except where required under Australian Consumer Law

  • We are not responsible for incidents resulting from undisclosed behaviour or health issues

13. Photos & Social Media

We love sharing happy moments:

  • Photos of your dog may be taken during walks or visits

  • These may be used on our website or social media

  • Please let us know if you prefer your dog not to be featured

14. Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
We respect your privacy and will never share your details without consent unless required by law.

15. Updates to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services means you accept any changes.
